Driftwood Art - Walrus
The foundation of this piece is the torso, which included one arm. The head was made from small driftwood pieces, with walnut shell for the snout, abalone tusks, and onyx eyes. The whiskers are pine needles. The base is made from a shale type flagstone found on the banks of the St. Laurent river. As with all my pieces, each part is cleaned and given a heat treatment. The final product is coated with a sealant.
